About Rx Pill Clomid in Questions
about rx pill clomid? has anyone heard of clomid or used it. did it work and how does it work????

kee replied: "earlier i asked a question about clomid. I wanted to know how does it work and how long did it take to concieve. i only got 2 answers. most people do concieve off of it. some don't but I'm due for my first pill in 2 days and i will see how it works. good luck to you."

M replied: "I am currently on my 7th round. You can take it either CD 2-7, or 5-9. You are supposed to ovulate around 5-8 days after last pill. It took anywhere from 10-15 days for me. You start out at 50mg and work your way up to 250mg, or whatever your Dr says"

Will clomid change your normal cervical fluid pattern? I had two miscarriages and the dr. RX clomid. This is my first month on the pill. I am close to peak ovulation and I notice lack of cervical fluid. Without clomid I have textbook vaginal discharge throughout my cycle. Just a little concerned.

questions replied: "i have no idea...maybe it will.."

west coast drugs on an on-line Rx company have you heard of these guys? i just ordered generic clomid (clomiphene) from these guys on line have you heard of this company? im ttc and will do any thing to help get me preg. please help.has any body ever been on clominiphene?if so what was your out come on any of my questions? if you have taken it what days did you take it? ive read on here days 5-9 but is that days 5 and only 9 or days 5 6 7 8 and 9? i ordered 30 25mg pills not sure how to take it yet please help thanks in advance oh ya if you have ever ordered on line meds from what company and what was it like? any problems with online meds?

iampatsajak replied: "I don't see where you listed the company but buying online meds is dangerous. Any time you are on Rx meds you should be under the care of a doctor. If you are going to use these pills I suggest you speak with your OB and let them know, they can give you the proper dosage. Please keep in mind clomid has risks: The most common side effects are headache, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, mood changes and visual disturbances. Repeated use month after month, without a check of the ovaries at the beginning of the month, can miss enlarged, overstimulated cystic ovaries. Ovarian hyperstimulation can result in severe pain or twisting and compression of the ovarian blood vessels, sometimes resulting in loss of the ovary. This problem can be avoided by a simple pelvic exam or ultrasound at the start of each treatment cycle."

clomid and check up exams.....? HI, My ob/gyn put me on clomid 3 months ago. starting my third cycle now. i was ovulating fine before the pills and i have been trying to get pregnant for almost 2 years. I have been reading that many woman see their Dr. for additional test/sonograms/exams. I only go once a month when AF begins and i get another RX. Is anyone else getting the same treatment? should i be getting a sonogram routinely?

Nina replied: "Are you seeing a reproductive specialist? They should be monitoring you better, esp if the clomid has not worked in two to three cycles. With blood tests and U/S they can see if you have follicles, if they are maturing, your hormone levels etc. Please see someone who cares and will be following you more closely. Why do you need to see Your doc once a month Just to get a new prescription? Cant he/she give you the refills you need or are they making something off of you coming in? Sorry to sound this way, but I would like you to get the care you deserve."

double blessed replied: "I agree with Nina. You should see a reproductive gyno. They will monitor you closely as you should be while taking the drug. How do you know it's even working? You could have a blocked tube or something else. There's a lot it could be. Has your husband gotten his sperm checked? That was our problem. I've heard you can only take clomid for 6 cycles b/c it's bad for your liver or something so you're wasting time and money doing this blind. Call your insurance company and see if any RE's are covered on your plan. See if you need a referral to see them and then go to this website and check them out. It's the cdc and RE's have to report their outcomes to them . So if there are multiple RE's in your area then you can see who's the best. When I was on clomid I was also having an IUI. I took the meds and then gave me u/s to make sure I was producing eggs. I ended up getting a shot to make me ovulate and then had the IUI. There's a bunch of different ways they can help you.Way more than your regular ob. Go see the specialist! Good luck!"

Having a hard time getting pregnant with second child!? my husband and i have been trying to have another baby for about four years. We had our first child in 1998. I was put on the birth control shot at my first post-natal appointment. I was on this for almost three years. I don't have my menstruals on this shot. I quit getting the shot and it took almost 18 months for me to start having my menstruals again. Once I started having them again, I thought I would be pregnant in no time. I am 25 years old and my husband is 29 years old. We have been married for 9 years. I went to an OB/GYN and she gave me a rx for clomid, which is a set of five pills you begin taking daily on the third day of your menstrual cycle to ensure stimulate ovulation. I took the five pills and my husband and i did every thing we could think of in the bedroom arena after that. I was 5 days late for my cycle and i was having a lot of pregnant type symptoms (tender breasts, nausea, etc...) .. I went to the hospital and had a blood test done. Came out negative.

Ginny T replied: "I took clomid for my son, it took 4 months ( the first month of a higher dose) to get pregnant. This time I used Femara and got pregnant the second month. I have heard that the shots can delay getting pregnant because your system basically has been shut off, my doctor at first put mme on birth control to schedule my periods prior to both the cloid and the femara.... good luck"

decorateinteriors replied: "Let God plan your family for you. Stop with the birth control stuff. It is very harmful for your body. Any time you do anything to your body artificially it will have some type of negative side effect. You are still very young. Eat healthy, exercise, stay unstressed, and let God give you all the children he has intended for you. It will happen. I don't mean this in a bad way, but stop listening to OB/GYN doctors - they love birth control and it is bad for your body."

waiting for baby replied: "I think that one of clomid side effect is the same as pregnancy symtoms I took my first cycle last month and should have my p next monday the 16th but for now I have all the symtoms of being pregnant since i read a lot of the ?S ON CLOMID i am not holding my breath I am sure that you will be pregnant next cycle Good luck"

ayla_2114 replied: "I was also on the shot, they say it takes quite some time for you to get back on the regular ovulation schedual. I got off it because they recomend that after 2-3 years you try something different and also because my mom kept telling me it couldn't be healthy for me not to be menstrating. Any way It will take some time to get pregnant again. You need to relax and not to get stressed. That will affect the time and how easy it is to get pregnant. Also keep doing what the doctor has advised. You may need to go through clomid acoulple of times before you get the timing and eveything else right. Good Luck and relax a little bit!!"

marmstrong1877 replied: "I notice your already getting the advice to "relax" which is hard to do when your really wanting a child and not sure of what's going on. I have had fantastic luck detoxing from birth control and regulating my periods with Acupuncture. I also used CDs from and got pregnant within a few months. Good luck!"

I BADLY NEED YOUR HELP... PLEASE??..? my boyfriend and i used to have sex like once in a week.. it is because i'm trying to conceive.. and my parents doesn't know that.. hahah.. i was given a 2-year time frame by my doctor to get pregnant since i had an operation last year, because they removed my ovary.. however, my parents were not in favor of the idea about their 19 year old daughter getting pregnant so soon.. unfortunately, i more never want the idea of being barren in the near future, right?.. ..and here it goes.. every time were finished having sex and he has all his orgasms inside me, i feel like it is coming out.. and it does.. so is it still possible for me to get pregnant even if a lot of his orgasm is not staying inside of me?.. i'm trying to raise my legs on the wall after sex for 20 minutes, just for the sperms to stay inside.. but everytime i stand up, most of it just come out.. and i really get upset for that.. do i have to use some fertility drugs?.. can you prescribe me one that doesn't need an RX? because clomid here in our country needs an RX to be bought.. i really need your help guys.. please??.. can you suggest all prenatal pills that is possible for me to take so that i could choose from them, please?.. thanks..

Casey L replied: "Hey i noticed you posted your question again.... But anyways, There are lots of pre-natal pills, you can get a CVS brand which is cheaper, but actually has a little more of each vitamin in it which is very good, there is also "one-a-day" women pre-natal vitamins, there is lots of kinds, but they are all very very alike. i would go with the CVS brand because you get a lot more for your money! And it isn't a safe idea to use fertility drugs with out consulting a dr first, because some women can not take them and it can hurt you. I would talk to your doctor about some fertility drugs, but you not suppose to be on them for at least 1 yr of TTC. Also i understand the whole parents thing but you can still talk to your doctor its not like he/she will go rat you out to your parents because its against the law, (patient confidentiality!) good luck! *~*Baby*Dust*~*"

Michelle H replied: "Check out this website. It has tips for couples having trouble conceiving."

prego w/ #1 replied: "well what goes up must come down...lol...here is a tip that i used and got pregnant and the 1st time we used this tip i got pregnant...every time that you feel you are wet down there without any sexual attention then have sex.. this mean its a change in your cervical mucus which means you ovulating...and you could get on folic acid or any prenatal pill that could also effect you getting pregnant... and as for all of his stuff coming out of you... that's normal... just don't get up and move right away lay there for a little bit and then get up... his little swimmers swim fast and they know where to go.. so don't worry and good luck to you and your boyfriend"

natural med. for infertility? okay.. so i think i may have endometriosis.. problem is that i am so young and do not wish to have a hysterectomy at this point in my life and the only other way to treat this is to have more children.. my fiance and i are trying for more children but we cant become successful and we believe that it is from me possibly having endometriosis.. is there a healthy alternative to clomid or any other "drug" that may be thrown in my face? we buy all of our med's from a local heath food store and I have seen some things in there that say they help infertility, but do they really? Is there anything I can do at home to get this process to go any faster? We are trying to stay our of the Dr.'s office for this situation only because we 1: can't afford the clomid and 2: are scared of taking it.. I have never taken anything but a prenatal pill and advil so RX's are not my friends.. I get very sick off of them that is why we buy all natural meds.. So, is there anything out there that you have found helpful in your success of becoming pregnant? here is the link to the other question that i ad asked yesterday with my symptoms and what really make me do some research.. wow.. i did not know it was that cheap.. i called a local fertility specialist about 2 months ago and they told me that it would run me hundreds if not a thousand.. maybe through them apperantly.. that is amazing and i did check with my target and yes the generic is only $4.

hello_i_am_barbara replied: "I know you mentioned that you're scared of taking Clomid. A friend told me that the generic Clomid is on the $4 Target drug list, so it shouldn't be all that expensive."

megannjason305 replied: "You would probably pay more money for something natural and does not really work than to buy Clomid(well the generic). I paid $9 for mine. Good luck!"

Smile! replied: "aside from a hot flash or two a couple days after my last pill i had no side effects with clomid"

pm replied: "You can get Clomid at Walmart for 10 tablets = 15.00...not bad I just discovered that last month...I've been on Clomid for 3 months and the first months I puchased them at a local pharmacy for about 41.00...big differnece. Good Luck!"

erin c replied: "If you can not afford the price of the clomid which looks like it is between $10-$20 how can you afford to bring another child into this world. Diapers, clothing dr visits and so on are going to be alot more than that unless of course you are one of those that think it is the tax payers responsibility. I am sorry if I sound harsh but is it really fair to the child. Child did not ask to be put into that kind of a situation."

sacapuntas26 replied: "First get married, before the baby comes. Now to answer your question endometriosis does make it harder to conceive, but there are things you can take. One of the best fertility inducing herbs is called False Unicorn. It is not a very common herb, so you have to find the right health food store and expect to pay $10-$30 depending on the size of the bottle you get (I have a link below to order on-line. The Dr. Christopher False Unicorn and Lobelia is a good pregnancy mixture (take 2 capsules 2x a day not every hour as instructed. Every hour is for if you think you may be having a miscarriage). I started taking False Unicorn after trying unsuccessfully for 2 years to conceive my first child and he was conceive 2 months later. Some other good mixtures of herbs by Dr. Christopher are: for general uterine health "Female reproductive formula" and for irregular painful periods "Female Tonic formula" both are available at the first site I included. All three are recommended for infertility problems. There is also a book called "Every women's Herbal" by Dr. Christopher (2nd link) that talks about many women's health issues and specifically addresses endometriosis and things you can do to help it. The book also tells you how to mix up your own herbs to make the above formulas, but it is easier and cheaper in the long run to just by the formulas already made. Good Luck!"

Prometrium & TTC, any help would be appreciated? My background: 25 and pretty healthy, maybe a little overweight..but hey,lol Always had irregular periods, sometimes would go as long as 5-6-7-8 months, once went 9! I became preg last year, without a period, and ended in a m/c on sept 7th, 08, since then ive only had two periods, dec and jan, nothing since then. I recently went and had a checkup and consult with my ob/gyn, he did a blood preg test and a vaginal ultrasound and found cysts on both ovaries, but said it wasnt anything to worry about. And blood test came back negative. Since Im ttc, he gave me 200mg of Prometrium to bring on my period, and he told me to just get busy dtd and come back in three months, and if that didnt work, then he was going to give me another dose of prometrium and then clomid, he wanted to see if i would do it myself until then.IM CURRENTLY ON DAY 8 OF A 12 DAY RX HE GAVE ME OF THE MEDICINE. My Q is, I wanted to know is if anyone else had been in my situation and what happened with you, and what I might can expect. he told me to expect af anywhere from when im taking the pills to a little after i stop them. Any similiar experiences would be appreciated, so I can know what to expect.

beetlemilk replied: "I take 400mg prometrium to bring on AF for 10 days and get it up to 3 weeks after last dose. Sounds like PCOS with the cysts, abnormal cycles, and being a little overweight Try to up the exercise and watch what you eat Likely though you will need clomid and metformin too babydust"
